Hi, I'm HIllary... and I'm a storyteller

 I taught English for years before I ever planned a trip for a living, and the habit never left me. I still think in story arcs: where the tension goes, where the rest belongs, which moment has to land exactly right and what has to come just before it so that it's nothing short of spectacular.

Here's what that training taught me about travel: the most disappointing trips aren't the result of a bad destination. They're the result of a good destination in the wrong order. Four extraordinary days stacked back to back will exhaust you. The same four days with a slow morning in the middle become the trip you're still telling people about a decade later. Hardly anyone plans for that, because planning for it means knowing where the story is going before you leave.

That's the part I do. You tell me who you are and what this trip is really for. I shape everything else around it: the pacing, the places, the reservation you wouldn't have known to make — and hand you back something closer to a week with a shape than a list of confirmation numbers.
